70 plasma television

Nearly everyone was amazed by the plasma screen television from the very start. In contrast to the bulkier, outdated televisions, these thin and flat style items are understandably more desirable. Because of their new build, the plasma screen television were more flexible, and therefore more desirable. Their increased flexibility allowed them greater places to store and hang the television, such as from the wall or from the ceiling, thus increasing space. For this reason, the plasma screen enjoyed even more popularity than the old-time models in homes and in showcase rooms.

So what is the technology behind such a radical advancement in the way we enjoy our favorite shows and movies? For the plasma screen television, the usage of cathode ray tube, or CRT, is no longer necessary in producing the image. The amount of space required to house a television in the pre-plasma era is mostly to blame on the CTR that was included. The plasma screen television instead is composed of multiple glass “cell” compartments that are full of a gas called neon-xenon. This gas is then suspended in plasma and when electrically charged it can strike phosphors colored blue, green, and red. An image results when the phosphors errupt.

It is not uncommon for people to buy a plasma screen television for the size feature. You invite negative consequences if you allow yourself to be unaware of the full aspects of these features. You can invest in a plasma screen television that is as “small” as 32-40 inches, or one as large as 61-63 inches, and you might be tempted to fall for the fallacy that “bigger is better”. It’s essential to remember how large the television room is going to be. The urge to go with “biggest is best” might be soothed if you keep in mind that the sets are going to loom large no matter which size you get, due to their impressive build and design.

Most of us have heard from our mothers that sitting too close to the TV can be dangerous. It’s important for people with 32-37 inch sets to keep their distance a comfortable 6-10 feet. TV sets that are 42-46 inch should command a distance of 10 to 14 feet. A person who buys a plasma set that measures 50 inches should stay back fifteen feet. An incredible distance of 25 feet is recommended for TVs that measure more than 60 inches.
