is it ok to play xbox on plasma tv

When the plasma screen television first became available, it instantly began to attract people’s interest. Why wouldn’t anyone be drawn to these types of TV? They offer a stylish thin and flat look to them that is much better than the bulky outdated counterparts. In contrast to the older sets, the new plasma screen television were lean, and therefore much more flexible. You have, for example, the option to either mount it on the wall or hang it from the ceiling. For this reason, the plasma screen enjoyed even more popularity than the old-time models in homes and in showcase rooms.

So what is the technology behind such a radical advancement in the way we enjoy our favorite shows and movies? For the plasma screen television, the usage of cathode ray tube, or CRT, is no longer necessary in producing the image. This CTR is the reason most TV models, before the invention of its plasma counterparts, are big and space-consuming. Tiny glass compartments, or cells, are injected with a gas called neon-xenon, which is used instead of CRT in a plasma screen television. The neon-xenon is then suspended in plasma, which strikes blue, green, and red phosphors when electrically charged. An image results when the phosphors errupt.

It is not uncommon for people to buy a plasma screen television for the size feature. However, these features may have some counter-effect if consumers let themselves be blinded by its capabilities. However, do not concede that bigger is always better. The main consideration is what the room size for the television will be. The urge to go with “biggest is best” might be soothed if you keep in mind that the sets are going to loom large no matter which size you get, due to their impressive build and design.

You’ll want to avoid sitting too close to the television screen, as it can cause several harmful health defects. If you have a 32 to 37-inch, then stay back from six to ten feet. However, if you are going a little larger, with a 42-46 inch set, then increase your distance to ten to fourteen feet. Additionally, a recommended length of fifteen feet should be kept away from a fifty inch plasma set. And for sets measuring up to 60-inch and more, a distance of at least 25 feet should be observed.
