Ever since the plasma screen television first became available, people have been impressed by the item. Unsurprisingly, many people simply preferred the newer model’s thin and flat look to that of the old, bulkier model. Because of their new build, the plasma screen television were more flexible, and therefore more desirable. Both the ceiling and the wall make great hanging spots for this type of ceiling, for example. Due to its incredible space saving design, this newer model was an immediate favorite among many showcases.
What type of technology creates such a radical advance in our movie and television viewing? Unlike the average set, the plasma screen television does not use cathode ray tubes (CRT) in producing its images. The technology behind CTR is the reason that many TV models before were always so big and bulky. Instead of the CRT, the plasma screen television is comprised of cells or glass compartments injected with a gas called neon-xenon. Such gas is electrically charged while suspended in plasma, resulting in phosphors struck blue, green, and red. An image results when the phosphors errupt.
More often than not, people buy a plasma screen television because of its sheer size. While size can be a nice benefit, you can reap negative benefits through letting size blind you to the bigger picture. Though you can easily purchase a plasma screen television that is anywhere from 32″ to 63″, you should not automatically assume that bigger is a better deal. People do this without thinking about how large their room size for the television is going to be. You’re going to have to remember size of the room and placement of the set in comparison to where you want to sit, since the sets will be large enough even if you get the smallest size.
Without sounding naggish, it’s important to point out a few numbers to give you the dangers of sitting too close to the television. For any television that is 32″-37″, you should maintain a space of at least 6-10 feet. You can decrease your probability of getting a health disease with a 42 to 46 machine if you keep at least a ten to fourteen feet distance from the machine. For people who will buy the plasma measuring 50-inch or more, it is better to stay at a distance of 15 feet. Experts further believe that you should stay back at least 25 feet from any TV that is 60″ or larger.
