plasma 21inch television

People have been in awe of the plasma screen television from the moment it hit the market. When viewed next to the heavier models that took up more room, the thin and flat new model was definitely an upgrade. Another major benefit of the plasma screen television was that they offered more choices in how they could be integrated into the room. The newer model allows you to suspend from the ceiling or mount on the wall. The plasma screen was particularly popular in showrooms because of these designs, which saved a considerable amount of space.

So what is the technology behind such a radical advancement in the way we enjoy our favorite shows and movies? The older sets used cathode ray tubes, or CRT, to produce images, while the plasma screen television does not. This CTR is the reason most TV models, before the invention of its plasma counterparts, are big and space-consuming. As a replacement for the space-consuming CRT, the plasma screen television uses tiny glass compartments (or “cells”) that are injected with neon-xenon, which is a gas. With an electrical charge, it can then strike phosphors that are colored blue, green, or red. An image results when the phosphors errupt.

You may know people who have purchased a plasma screen television due simply to the size alone. This may have a negative effect if you are blinded by the capabilities. Though you can easily purchase a plasma screen television that is anywhere from 32″ to 63″, you should not automatically assume that bigger is a better deal. It’s essential to remember how large the television room is going to be. With the size of these sets, it will be an imposing figure in your entertainment room and so it is important to put it where you think it is appropriate.

Most of us have heard from our mothers that sitting too close to the TV can be dangerous. People with a 32-37 inch TV should sit back at least six to ten feet. If you are looking for a set that is 42-46 inches, then you should go with 10-14 feet. Additionally, a recommended length of fifteen feet should be kept away from a fifty inch plasma set. If you get a super large set that measures more than sixty inches, you need to keep at least a 25 feet distance.
