plasma screen tv

The plasma screen television is an item that many people fell in love with from the very start. Why wouldn’t anyone be drawn to these types of TV? They offer a stylish thin and flat look to them that is much better than the bulky outdated counterparts. Because of the build of the plasma screen television, the new televisions were more flexible in how you could use them. Their increased flexibility allowed them greater places to store and hang the television, such as from the wall or from the ceiling, thus increasing space. Due to its incredible space saving design, this newer model was an immediate favorite among many showcases.

Do you ever wonder exactly what type of fantastic technology makes the advancements in the way we view television shows and movies possible? Images are not produced in the plasma screen television through any cathode ray tubes, or CRT. It was because of the CTR that most of the television models were so large. Rather than employ CRT, the plasma screen television is composed of neon-xenon gas into tiny glass cells. You have the neon-xenon which is then suspended in the plasma and strikes blue, green, and red colored phosphors whenever it becomes charged with electricity. It is because of the phosphorus, which erupts, that an image is produced.

Because of the size of a plasma screen television, many people are inspired to buy them for that reason alone. However, these features may have some counter-effect if consumers let themselves be blinded by its capabilities. A plasma screen television can be 32″, 40″, 42″, 46″, 50″, 61″, or even 63″, and bigger is not always better. People do this without thinking about how large their room size for the television is going to be. The urge to go with “biggest is best” might be soothed if you keep in mind that the sets are going to loom large no matter which size you get, due to their impressive build and design.

Many different studies have been cited that show the dangers of sitting too close to the TV. People with a 32-37 inch TV should sit back at least six to ten feet. TV sets that are 42-46 inch should command a distance of 10 to 14 feet. For people who will buy the plasma measuring 50-inch or more, it is better to stay at a distance of 15 feet. A full distance of 25 feet (or more) should be observed with a TV that is 60 inches or greater.
