plasma tv ratings

Everyone was instantly mesmerized by the plasma screen television when it became available. And why not? These televisions were much more pleasant to look at, with their slim and flat frame, than the outdated versions which took up far more room. Because of their new build, the plasma screen television were more flexible, and therefore more desirable. You have, for example, the option to either mount it on the wall or hang it from the ceiling. Because of these reasons, showcases loved putting the plasma screen on display, since it took up so little space.

What type of technology creates such a radical advance in our movie and television viewing? For the plasma screen television, the usage of cathode ray tube, or CRT, is no longer necessary in producing the image. The fact that most pre-plasma televisions used CTR is exactly why so many of them took up so much space. Instead of CRT, the plasma screen television uses glass components (or “cells”) that are injected with neon-xenon, a gas. This gas is then suspended in plasma and when electrically charged it can strike phosphors colored blue, green, and red. Images are produced through the phosphors, which erupts to cause the desired effect.

You may know people who have purchased a plasma screen television due simply to the size alone. However, these features may have some counter-effect if consumers let themselves be blinded by its capabilities. You can invest in a plasma screen television that is as “small” as 32-40 inches, or one as large as 61-63 inches, and you might be tempted to fall for the fallacy that “bigger is better”. The main consideration is what the room size for the television will be. The urge to go with “biggest is best” might be soothed if you keep in mind that the sets are going to loom large no matter which size you get, due to their impressive build and design.

You’ll want to avoid sitting too close to the television screen, as it can cause several harmful health defects. For any television that is 32″-37″, you should maintain a space of at least 6-10 feet. You can decrease your probability of getting a health disease with a 42 to 46 machine if you keep at least a ten to fourteen feet distance from the machine. For people who will buy the plasma measuring 50-inch or more, it is better to stay at a distance of 15 feet. If you get a super large set that measures more than sixty inches, you need to keep at least a 25 feet distance.
