sanyo plasma tv

Ever since the plasma screen television first became available, people have been impressed by the item. When viewed next to the heavier models that took up more room, the thin and flat new model was definitely an upgrade. The lean quality of the plasma screen television makes it much more flexible. Due to their slim new frame, the newer models allowed you to hang them from the ceiling or attach them to a wall. Because of these reasons, showcases loved putting the plasma screen on display, since it took up so little space.

Comparing the technology in the older types of television with the newer plasma screen models is always an interesting task. The older sets used cathode ray tubes, or CRT, to produce images, while the plasma screen television does not. The technology behind CTR is the reason that many TV models before were always so big and bulky. The plasma screen television instead is composed of multiple glass “cell” compartments that are full of a gas called neon-xenon. This gas is then suspended in plasma and when electrically charged it can strike phosphors colored blue, green, and red. Through the eruption of the phosphors, an image is made.

You may know people who have purchased a plasma screen television due simply to the size alone. However, these features may have some counter-effect if consumers let themselves be blinded by its capabilities. A plasma screen television can be 32″, 40″, 42″, 46″, 50″, 61″, or even 63″, and bigger is not always better. People do this without thinking about how large their room size for the television is going to be. After all, the sheer size of even the smallest set will be impressive, and it’s important to keep in mind placement when picking a set.

If you don’t avoid sitting too close to the television, you can wind up with a number of health problems. If you have a 32 to 37-inch, then stay back from six to ten feet. A greater distance of ten to fourteen feet is recommended for people purchasing a 42 to 46 inch television. Additionally, a recommended length of fifteen feet should be kept away from a fifty inch plasma set. If you get a super large set that measures more than sixty inches, you need to keep at least a 25 feet distance.
