vizio plasma tv

Ever since the plasma screen television first became available, people have been impressed by the item. Unsurprisingly, many people simply preferred the newer model’s thin and flat look to that of the old, bulkier model. In contrast to the older sets, the new plasma screen television were lean, and therefore much more flexible. What this means is that you had greater choice in where to place your new television, including the wall or the ceiling. This space saving feature made the newer model a favorite in showcases and other similar display arenas.

What type of technology creates such a radical advance in our movie and television viewing? Images are not produced in the plasma screen television through any cathode ray tubes, or CRT. The need to consume so much space that the older models had was due to their reliance on CTR. Rather than employ CRT, the plasma screen television is composed of neon-xenon gas into tiny glass cells. Through the plasma, the gas is suspended. It is because of the phosphorus, which erupts, that an image is produced.

You may know people who have purchased a plasma screen television due simply to the size alone. While size can be a nice benefit, you can reap negative benefits through letting size blind you to the bigger picture. A plasma screen television can be 32″, 40″, 42″, 46″, 50″, 61″, or even 63″, and bigger is not always better. People do this without thinking about how large their room size for the television is going to be. You’re going to have to remember size of the room and placement of the set in comparison to where you want to sit, since the sets will be large enough even if you get the smallest size.

Many different studies have been cited that show the dangers of sitting too close to the TV. A distance of six to ten feet is recommended for anyone with a set that is 32-37 feet. If you are looking for a set that is 42-46 inches, then you should go with 10-14 feet. A full fifteen feet should be the distance that you keep from a 50-60 inch set. Experts further believe that you should stay back at least 25 feet from any TV that is 60″ or larger.
